Hi there Anna. Thank you for joining us on Deception Magazine. When was the first moment, you decided to start your journey in the music industry?

Hey! I have always been super passionate about music but I think I decided to fully commit when I left home at 17. I moved to London & was working with a producer who got me doing some backing vocals on some big tracks which really helped push me!

You recently released your new track “Good Days, Bad Days” with the talented Gabrielle Aplin. Congratulations on that! How did the collaboration initially come into existence?

Thank you! Gabby and I have wanted to collaborate for a while and she was sent the track the day I wrote it, and she loved it. It felt like a great fit because her album Dear Happy is about the struggles of mental health too.

How was the creative process like with the track? Did you face any kind of challenges during the production stage of the song?

The song was finished quite quickly actually – but there were definitely a few different bass lines in the chorus at one point but overall it was a breeze to make. I love when that happens!

If you could describe the track through one word, what word might that be?

Wholesome 😍

You have garnered over 200,000 monthly streams on your Spotify channel. How does it feel to know that your music is gaining such a vast support everyday?

It feels incredible. Especially in such a weird time where I feel a bit disconnected to the world, knowing I am reaching people in some way makes it all worth it.

You also dropped a phenomenal music video along with the track. How was the experience like recording the music video during times like these?

I had to think a bit outside the box for this video concept, we couldn’t film like we normally would together so we decided to use footage that already existed. I think it turned out brilliantly!

Who do you draw your musical inspirations from? If given an opportunity, what artist would you like to collaborate and work with in the future?

I am inspired by so many different artists, from Kylie Minogue to James Blake to Gwen Stefani. A dream collab would be Rihanna or Pharrell or Disclosure.

What’s next for you Anna? Any plans on upcoming projects/collaborations that you would like to hint your fans about?

The rest of my EP Growing Pains will be released this year, I am SO EXCITED. The tracks are insane.

Lastly, is there any message that you would like to convey to your supporters from around the world?

Stay safe, stay hopeful, and try not to worry. The sun will shine again soon.
